This patchfile implements fixes to CleanSweep 1.0, dated 11-08-94. The
date on the CLNSWEEP.EXE file in your CleanSweep directory (typically
C:\CLNSWEEP) should be 11-08-94 ONLY. If the date on this file is later
than 11-08-94, do not attempt to apply this patch. The patch will
update CleanSweep to the version dated 1-20-95.
This patch should be applied this way:
1) Copy the files which accompany this README: RUNME.BAT, PATCH.EX_,
FILES.RTP, and CLN1.PAT into your CleanSweep directory.
2) Change to the CleanSweep directory and type:
RUNME
followed by the Enter key.
After the patch has been successfully applied, you may delete the
following files (if any still exist) from your CleanSweep directory:
RUNME.BAT, PATCH.EXE, and FILES.RTP
CHANGES SINCE THE 11-08-94 RELEASE OF CLEANSWEEP
The following are the significant changes in the version of CleanSweep
dated 1-20-95.
1) Older versions of THREED.VBX, a library responsible for displaying
Windows controls, could cause CleanSweep to fail to display properly.
This file is included with utilities for the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet
IV printers. In this case, CleanSweep would seem to be running, but
the user would be unable to switch to it.
2) General Protection Faults associated with CSAGENT, the CleanSweep
SuperLinks module, have been fixed. This resolves GPFs that users
may have seen when AutoSuperLinks was enabled, or when the user chose
"Update Now" from the SuperLinks dialog box.
3) CleanSweep will no longer display the first two months of the year as
"Sunday" and "Monday" in the activity log.
4) An incompatibility with the file security program Folder Bolt has
been resolved.
5) CleanSweep's Helper Technology is supported by a data file. The name
of this file, formerly known as HELPER.DAT, has been changed to
CLNSWEEP.CFG.
The following files will be modified:
CLNSWEEP.EXE
CLNSWEEP.CFG
CLNSWEEP.HLP
CSAGENT.EXE
CSDECOY.EXE
CSPCT2.DLL
DUNZIP.DLL
DZIP.DLL
README.TXT
README.WRI
THREED.VBX
